Doha Convention Centre Contracts 1 & 2

MEBCO Middle East Building Materials, along with its subsidiary, has successfully delivered a wide range of building material products to one of the world's largest property development projects located in the West Bay business district of Doha, the capital of Qatar. Our contributions include wire mesh, rebar/straight bar, steel reinforcement cut & bend, and much more.
The prestigious Qatar Petroleum District, also known as the QP District, encompasses nine office blocks, with the tallest one boasting an impressive 52 levels. Our involvement in this remarkable project speaks volumes about our expertise and commitment to delivering exceptional building materials for the most demanding ventures.
Doha Expressway (Package 7) Salwa Road-Phase 2, Al Asiri I/C to Industrial I/C
The scope of work consisted of supplying construction materials for the upgrade of a main road, which is around 6.8km long with 4 lanes in each direction. Additionally, there are service roads and parking areas on both sides of the road.
The MEBCO and its subsidiary were involved in providing various building materials such as wire mesh and steel reinforcement, as well as steel cut and bend products. The Salwa Road is designed to connect the center of the capital, Doha, to the Saudi Arabian border. Its main objective is to ensure smooth road traffic and enhance the overall driving experience.
The fully expanded eight-lane Expressway improves travel quality and provides better accessibility to the local community and commercial establishments more safely and efficiently.
Qatar Foundation Headquaters
The Qatar Foundation is fully committed to promoting scientific research and community development in the region. Our unwavering involvement in this extraordinary project speaks volumes about our unmatched expertise and unwavering dedication to providing top-notch building materials for the most challenging endeavors.The main building, which serves as our headquarters, stands tall with an impressive height of 57m and covers a vast area of 29.121m2. This iconic structure has become a significant landmark within the Campus, providing breathtaking panoramic views of the City of Education.
Dukhan Highway Central Contract 1 & 2
MEBCO Middle East Building Materials, in conjunction with its subsidiary, has effectively supplied a diverse array of building materials for the Dukhan Highway Central project. This project encompasses the provision of construction materials for the development of a 15 km new highway, commencing from the western side of the current Al Wajba Interchange and concluding east of the town of Al Sheehaniya. Additionally, the project entails the construction of a dual carriageway featuring four lanes in both directions, service roads, and a dedicated cycling lane.

Lusail Development for Primary Infrastructure
The Lusail Development Construction Package 4 Highways project is a significant component of the New Lusail City Program, which is an important urban growth corridor expanding north of the capital, Doha.
The scope of work involved providing high-quality construction materials for the commissioning of major sections of roads A1, A6, D11, and A10 at Lusail. This includes junctions 12, 13, and 14, the Wadi underpass, tunnels T1 and T2, southern and marina interchanges (including underpass), bridges, arches, and a tunnel. The total length of these roads is 7.5 km.

Maintenance of Fitness Center Facility
Katara Cultural Village, known as Katara, is a prestigious cultural and commercial complex situated in Doha, Qatar. It proudly stands on the eastern coast, nestled between the esteemed West Bay and the luxurious Pearl.
Our mission involved procuring top-quality construction materials for the fitness center building, which boasts a multitude of exceptional facilities and essential infrastructure. This ambitious project entailed erecting a magnificent 3-floor structure complete with both indoor and outdoor swimming pools, a state-of-the-art gymnasium, a renowned restaurant, and numerous other amenities.
Our team executed this project with utmost confidence and expertise, delivering the material on time with a remarkable end result.
Hamad General Hospital
Surgery Department Extension
Hamad General Hospital has undertaken a significant project to expand its surgery department in order to meet the growing demand for its services. To achieve this, a state-of-the-art surgery facility extension is being constructed within the hospital premises. MEBCO and its subsidiary have been entrusted with the responsibility of providing the necessary construction materials for the completion of various essential units, including 20 new Operating Theatres (OT), Trauma Intensive Care Unit (TICU), Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU), Surgical Intensive Care Unit (SICU), Pre-Operative Unit (Pre-Op), Interventional Imaging Department, multi-story Carpark, and Service Building. This collaboration aims to enhance the overall capabilities and services offered by Hamad General Hospital.
Workers' Hospital and Integrated
Health Center
The Workers Hospital and Integrated Health is one of the three hospital projects in Qatar exclusively for workers. Located in an industrial area, it offers 120 beds with modern medical facilities and equipment.
The project involved supplying construction materials for the construction, completion, and maintenance of a 120-bed workers' hospital (consisting of a basement, ground floor, and three floors) with a rooftop mechanical area. It also included an Integrated Health Center (with a basement, ground floor, and one floor), a canteen, washroom, mosque, central utility plant, and necessary external works.
Al Wakra Stadium Enabling Work
The Al Janoub Stadium in Al Wakrah City is a FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™ stadium and was the venue for the tournament's quarter-finals. The event's immense scale and importance for Qatar and the region cannot be overstated.
The task at hand involves supplying construction materials for the building and completion of a 40,000-seat two-tier FIFA-compliant stadium, including a designated VVIP/VIP/Hospitality level.
New Orbital Highway & Truck Route (Contract 4)
The scope of work for the Orbital Highway & Truck Route contract involves the provision of construction materials. The main objective of the proposed project is to create a new road connecting the Dukhan Highway and the Al Khor Highway. The project encompasses approximately 47 km of road network and five interchanges. The primary road comprises a 10-lane section, with 5 lanes in each direction and an additional 2 lanes for potential future expansion. Additionally, there are four separated truck lanes, with 2 lanes in each direction, from the contract limit to the vicinity of the intersection with Orbital Highway/Dukhan Highway.
Doha Metro - Red line South: Elevated / At Grade Section
The task at hand involved providing construction materials for the Red Line South project. This project entails the construction of a 6.7 km concrete viaduct, three multilevel elevated stations, approximately one kilometer of line built on ramps or at ground level, two emergency exits on the viaduct, and grading for a future mobile material maintenance park.
The overall objective of the project is to integrate the Doha Metro, Lusail Tram, and Long Distance network into a unified system. This integration will allow passengers to easily transfer between lines and connect to rail lines in neighboring countries, marking the creation of the region's first fully integrated rail system.
Khalifa Stadium– Renovation and Upgradation
The Khalifa Stadium in Qatar is situated in the Aspire Zone of the city of Doha, which is renowned for its top-notch sports training and performance facilities. Its status as a hub for sporting excellence made it the selected venue for the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
The objective of the project was to supply construction materials for the complete renovation of the Khalifa Stadium and Museum, aiming to accommodate 40,000 spectators and adhere to the latest FIFA standards.
Msheireb Downtown
Doha (Phase 4)
This project involves providing the construction materials for the Phase 4 development of Msheireb Downtown development in Doha, Qatar. The project is about Construction materials of (11) mixed-use buildings comprising commercial offices, residential and retail space, hotels, and car parking basements. The development will consist of a major public plaza and mixed-use stunning buildings, which include 5-star hotels, a medical office building containing clinical and administrative spaces, and six car parking basements.
Design & Build Works for Lusail Plaza Towers – Plot 1 and Plot 2 (BP12A and BP12B)
The scope of the project involves supplying construction materials for two Towers, each 50 storeys high (approximately 219m tall). The Podiums have been designed to gradually decrease in size towards the sea, with heights ranging from G+5 to G+2 stories. The basement includes car parking, services, and connections to the Light Rail Transit station. The Towers are topped with cladded structural steel, while the Façade features a unique Fin profile. The total built-up area for Plot 1 is 229,596 m² and for Plot 2 is 249,828 m².
Mega Reservoirs Project
Due to the ongoing growth and development in Qatar, there has been a significant increase in water demand. As a result, Qatar General Electricity & Water Corporation (KAHRAMAA) has decided to initiate a water project to establish a strategic water storage system within its network. The aim of this project is to provide a 7-day water storage capacity to meet the anticipated demand by 2026, through the construction of 5 mega reservoir sites. Additionally, the second phase of the project will expand the storage capacity to meet the expected demand by 2036, by incorporating additional reservoirs within the existing mega reservoir sites.
To ensure the longevity of this saltwater structure, the project requires the use of epoxy-coated steel reinforcement. Mebco has been chosen as the supplier for the necessary construction materials.
